"i want to tell the story of thousands of algerian immigrants who came to france in the 1950's. most of them were looking for work and were "housed" in shanty towns. I feel that it is important to remember these men history has forgotten. despite the harsh conditions, living in a "no-mans land" on the fringe of the largest french cities, these people held on to their identity."

the story of a man who attempts to react against society's inertia, to change his life but who can't succeed on his own.
